Delmarva Today 7-16-21
Harold Wilson's guest is poet and writer David Salner. They are discussing Salner's new novel A Place to Hide. It is 1923 and the novel is the story of a fugitive from justice in Montana who flees to New York City, changes his name, and seeks to establish a new life. But how does one escape the past? It is forever part of us, nagging and picking at us, intruding into our consciousness no matter how much we would like to forget. David’s character is no different. He is constantly haunted by the damning fear of his recapture. David Salner brings to his novel the skill of an accomplished poet. He has four poetry collections and published in a number of literary journals including three editions of The Delmarva Review. He has also received numerous poetry prizes and awards. In addition, his work has been read three times by Garrison Keillor on Writer’s Almanac. A Place to Hide is David Salner’s first novel.
